Bolton Active Sports Award 2017
The Orchards Federation sports club was nominated for club of the year at the annual Bolton Active Sports Award.
Children, staff and parents joined in with almost 1000 people to celebrations the sporting achievements of the local community.
The event was held at the Macron stadium home of Bolton Wanderers Football Club. The Orchards was nominated because of their sporting achievement over the school year. Children from Cherry Tree and Green Fold, competed in the Greater Manchester school games in 2 events Kurling and Boccia. The club has won a trophy for ‘Sportsmanship’ at the Ranstad sports games held at the Etihad stadium.
Unfortunately we didn’t win this year but hope to be back next year. Well done to all the children that took part and a big thank you to all the staff that helped out.
Haigh Hall High Ropes
A group of Green Fold and Cherry Tree children visited Haigh Hall Country Park, to tackle the low rope course
During the session at Haigh Hall, the Children had the opportunity to go on the low ropes course, Climbing wall and the Gladiator wall.
Haigh Hall low rope course was a fantastic adventure for everyone with a head for heights.
Everyone that took part including staff had a FUN packed day.
